AIRTOUCH, BALAYAGE OR HIGHLIGHTS?

You changed your lifestyle by moving to Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice or North Port and decided to change your hairstyle too........ but you don’t know what to choose. No problem, that’s ok! If you are not a beauty professional, sometimes it’s quite difficult to understand the difference between Balayage, AirTouch, Highlights or Blonde, and to figure out, what method or technique will be the most suitable and effective for your hair.

All these coloring techniques are different and they were developed at different times. For example, AirTouch was invented just few years ago in Russia and it is relatively new to the Sarasota/Venice area. This technique is trending now in Miami and New York - the Meccas of contemporary methods of hairstyling in the United States. On other hand, we have Balayage, which became well-known in the 1990s. I can help you decide which technique is best for you and your situation.

When you come in for a consultation, it’s helpful to bring a photo or photos of the result you are looking for. For inspiration you can check out my work on Facebook and Instagram and find your desired color combination and haircut.

Do keep in mind that the same result can be achieved by using different methods. For example, today the term “Balayage” is frequently used as description for desired colors and results — when in fact the term refers to a foil-free, hand-painting highlighting technique that includes a wide range of variations and nuances. Please, don’t be too focused on a certain technique, just decide what result you would like to achieve. This is simply to say that your desired hairstyle can be achieved by using a number of different techniques — and that your desired result is always a top priority!

During the consultation together we will decide what technique to implement, what combination of colors can be achieved and how we can neutralize the unwanted tones. If you don’t have time to come for a consultation, you can send me pictures, showing the current condition of your hair. Several selfies from different angles in the daylight will be very helpful, the more the better (and please, don’t try to take “nice pictures”, I just need to see the current condition of your hair). Why? The answer is simple: to give you top quality results, I have to take into consideration not only the desired result, but also the condition, structure and length of your hair, as well as many other important factors.

I look forward to working with you so that you can have the hairstyle you’ve always wanted!
